It’s really interesting to watch how people react when Chris Matthews makes an insanely absurd comment on his own show.
IN this case, he compares Uday and Qusay, the murderous sons of Saddam Hussein.
Watch below:

Unbelievable.
I know it’s cliche, but imagine if a Fox News guy said this about Obama – in fact, Glenn Beck got fired from Fox News for saying that Obama might be a racist. Matthews is comparing the Trump kids to murderous slugs who had RAPE ROOMS where they would keep slaves that they WOULD RAPE.
Amazing.

Dana Loesch was on Fox and Friends this morning and dished out some cold hard truth on the health care fight that ended last week.

WATCH: Dana Loesch just NAILED IT on the... bởi LoveMegynKelly

Dana Loesch points out that for now at least, the American people have won in the health care fight.
And in discussing the real issue with the health care bill, she nailed Paul Ryan pretty good::
This compromise still funded Planned Parenthood. It was a one year bait and switch; we were still going to fund Planned Parenthood.
The regulatory structure was still in place.
The penalty was still in place.
The subsidies were still in place.
It was like Paul Ryan rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic and telling America that the hole’s been fixed!
Just beautiful. I can’t think of a better way of representing my position on last week’s failure than Dana’s summation right there. Paul Ryan had a job to do and he failed.
When Brian Kilmeade suggested to Dana that Jim Jordan’s bill, which she advocated for, could never pass the Senate, she hit back pointing out that the Republicans keeps changing the ‘rules’ on us. She said first it was that we needed the Senate to pass repeal. Then we needed the presidency to pass repeal. And now that we have everything, they say that full repeal won’t pass the Senate.
Loesch says Republicans need courage and a spine to keep doing what they were voted in to do.

I understand that the Freedom Caucus is under a lot of pressure these days for standing in the way of Trump and Ryan’s attempt to leave Obamacare in place, but Jim Jordan stood firmly today in an interview with Fox News, defending his Freedom Caucus from these unfair attacks.
I must say when Hemmer asked Jordan if he and the Freedom Caucus ‘screwed up’ health care for Republicans, I rolled my eyes. Of course they didn’t. Jordan is right, they did the American people a favor in stopping this bill – a bill he said that only 17% of Americans supported.

Jim Jordan: The Freedom Caucus just did the... bởi LoveMegynKelly

Further, Jordan is exactly right to say they should put on Trump’s desk exactly what they put on Obama’s desk a year ago – a repeal of Obamacare.
Then we can go forward with a good bill fixing the healthcare system correctly.
Hemmer also grills Jordan over the accusation that the Freedom Caucus had a ‘secret pact’ in order to stop the health care bill, as if that is a bad thing.
Jordan said he wouldn’t discuss internal discussions they had, but suggested they always plan and strategize on how best to impact a piece of legislation.
Heck they only have 30 or so members now, so they must stick together on big, important pieces of legislation like this or their voice would never get heard.
And of course Ted Poe came up. But Jordan was much more of a gentleman than I would have been when discussing Poe’s latest comments.

Another Republican leadership toady steps out to show just how far left he is on health care, arguing that instead of working with conservatives in the House, they need to work with Democrats:

Rep. Adam Kinzinger: We need to reach out to... bởi LoveMegynKelly

He not only suggests that Republicans need to work Democrats on health care, but on taxes as well. Why? Because he says the ‘Freedom Caucus’ are just angry they didn’t get to write the healthcare bill and will never ever say yes on anything.
Ugh. What a smug arrogant bleep.
All conservatives in Congress want is for Republicans to do what they said they would do. Indeed, they are the conscience of the House.
But Republicans like Kinzinger would rather go work with the very people who forced Obamacare down our throats instead of working with the people who he’s supposed to have most in common with.
This isn’t about a caucus that only says ‘no’. This is about group of conservatives who actually want what is best for the country and in this case, that is repealing Obamacare, which is something Adam Kinzinger told his constituents he had already done some 40 times:
“Americans are already feeling the pain of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, and are asking for relief. Families deserve better than reform that raises costs and limits options, which is why I’ve voted over 40 times to repeal, defund, or delay this law from taking effect.”
Clearly those 40 votes were only show votes and he’s a damned hypocrite now for betraying his constituents and attacking conservatives in the House for only wanting him to do what he said he’d already done 40 times.

The moron governor of California says it’s un-Christian to build a border wall.
Watch below:

It’s UN-CHRISTIAN to build a border wall, says... bởi LoveMegynKelly

Of course the idiot makes the dim-witted comparison to the Berlin Wall, just like all dumb leftists do, ignoring the obvious difference, which we have written about more here.
This is obscenely stupid, but trust me, Californians are used to it from Jerry Brown, one of the dumbest politicians on the face of the Earth. I mean, has there ever been, in all of human history, a nation which called itself Christian, and didn’t have some kind of border security? This is insanely stupid and it’s surprising to me that we allow this kind of idiocy be said unopposed.
I will say that he’s right about one thing – the kind of rhetoric used against illegal aliens from our side alarms me. I do think we should be more compassionate because many of them really face horrible choices – but that doesn’t mean that our nation needs to be borderless. There are other ways to help the poor and unfortunate, and Americans are among the most charitable in doing so already.

All day long the media has been going nuts over the fact that Devin Nunes went to the White House the day before he announced that there were classified reports that suggests Trump and his transition team may have been spied upon by the Obama administration.
I’ve waited to hear from Nunes himself, and finally he went on CNN to discuss it.
Watch:

WATCH: Devin Nunes answers questions from CNN... bởi LoveMegynKelly

Maybe I’m just a Republican hack who thinks Trump is the next best thing to Jesus or something, but I really do find Devin Nunes to be credible and truthful, as best as I can determine, in his responses to Blitzer’s questions.
First of all, he said he wasn’t sneaking around at night. He said the sun was still out and he even spoke to several foreign dignitaries that he recognized on the White House grounds. He also said that he didn’t think the West Wing even knew he was there.
Secondly, the reason he had to view the information at the White House was because Congress has not been given the documents and therefore he couldn’t look at them anywhere other than the White House.
Thirdly, Nunes reiterates that none of these documents had anything to do with Russia, which is why he felt it was appropriate to discuss this with the president.
And finally, he said he does understand why some would believe this looks bad, but he contends he was looking into this before Trump ever tweeted his now infamous tweet about Obama wiretapping him.
Here are a few tweets that highlight portions of the interview:
As I suggested, Nunes just doesn’t seem like a liar to me and I don’t feel like he’s done anything wrong. I think the media continues to over hype this as well as all things Trump. Honestly, I wish they had cared even half this much on Benghazi, or Obama shipping weapons to Mexico, or the IRS scandal or….well, you get the idea.

Mike Lee wants to keep negotiating and get back to the table on health care, saying that it makes no sense to walk away after only devoting 17 legislative days to the bill.
He makes a lot of sense:

It makes NO SENSE to devote 17 legislative days... bởi LoveMegynKelly

But I wonder if anyone is in the mood to listen. They’re all blaming the Freedom Caucus for not voting for a bill that had 17% support of Americans, as if that was the most brilliant move ever.
No one has explained why they rushed the bill without any input and the only thing I can think of is that they wanted to do it in time for Obamacare’s 7th anniversary. Now, who do you think pushed for that marketing and publicizing ploy – the GOP, the guys who are always awful at communications, or Mr. Reality-Television? I wonder…

Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro is demanding that Trump forget the Republicans and reach out to Democrats to “make America great,” because he’s such a great negotiator, he’s the only one who can do it.
No really she said this.

Jeanine Pirro tells Trump to reach out to... bởi LoveMegynKelly

Doesn’t this mean exactly that Pirro and her ilk don’t give a damn about ideology, about conservatism? Guess what’s going to happen when you reach out to Democrats? They’re going to want Democrat solutions. So you’re telling me that this moron who couldn’t get a deal done with people of his own party is going to do better with people that disagree with him, supposedly?
It shows just how insanely stupid and emotional these people are. They just want vengeance and “winning” no matter what that means. Were they ever actually “conservative”? I doubt it.
[And what’s with the shoulder pads? Pirro auditioning for NFL linebacker somewhere?]
Have an open thread. Comment, drink, and be merry.

Peter King explains that he fully supports Nunes decision to go to the president with the information he was shown on Wednesday, saying the president had a right to know and that it had nothing to do with Russia or any criminal investigation:

Peter King defends Devin Nunes, says this had... bởi LoveMegynKelly

Many are angry that Nunes went to Trump because they believe it was inappropriate considering the investigation by the intelligence committee into Russian activities. But King makes clear that is not the case at all, that much of what was in these intelligence reports was gossip and smalltalk and had nothing to do with Russia or any criminal investigation.
Further, King states that he believes Nunes had no choice but to go to the president considering these activities occurred in the intelligence community.
Now look, I’m not and never will be a fan of King, especially after the way he went after Cruz in 2015. But I don’t think he’s lying here just to cover for Nunes.
So while you may disagree with Nunes not going to the committee first, it doesn’t sound like he violated any rules or ethical issues by taking this information the the president, since it had nothing to do with any ongoing investigation.

Poor Eric Bolling is absolutely obsessed with one thing – firing Speaker Paul Ryan. He demanded it of Sean Spicer about 50 times last night on O’Reilly’s show, and today he’s saying that TrumpCare failing is the best thing that ever happened – because he thinks Trump should fire Ryan.
Watch him blow up at Bob Beckel defending Obamacare:

TrumpCare failure is ‘the BEST THING’ for... bởi LoveMegynKelly

So was Trump an idiot for trusting Ryan? Because if he was, he’s still being an idiot because he says he still trusts him. Or maybe it was all one big conspiracy by evil Paul Ryan to damage Trump – then isn’t he an idiot for falling for it? I don’t know how you can escape this debacle without acknowledging that Trump is kinda stupid and very incompetent. But hey, elections have consequences…

Chris Matthews compared Republican Rep. Devin Nunes to a call, even bringing up his best doggie impression and going, “arf arf!” on air.
Watch below:

‘It really was canine-like’ – Chris Matthews... bởi LoveMegynKelly

Now this is exactly the kind of thing that would be called racist or xenophobic or some other stupid thing if a Republican did it, but Matthews is given a free pass. Now, whether the description is accurate, is a whole other thing…
Nunes did seem to drop an enormous bombshell when he said there was evidence of surveillance on Trump associates in the record, but if it turns out to be some foreigners talking about the Trump family like gossip to one another, Trump and his sycophant followers are going to look like complete morons for pushing this stuff.
